Suffering from ICMT disease? Sorry, can't help you!

A beautiful Sunday morning!  The sun is shining, birds are chirping, kids are fighting, hubby is napping...  just me, my computer and pictures of what I have done for the last week...  and a note... just 27 days until I have to finish making my kid's Halloween costumes - YIKES!  I still haven't started.

Other than the odd slow torture that is converting to vegetarianism... I have been crafty!

I don't know about you, but I suffer from a disease I call ICMT (I can make that), which has resulted in a large cabinet full of craft items, and many friends shaking their heads incredulously at me.   The symptoms of ICMT are simple... if you see something cute, but aren't willing to fork over the money, and THEN you look closely at it to see how it's made, and THEN you spend more than you would have to buy the supplies to make it yourself, you too suffer from ICMT (your husband too).  This has resulted in my scouring the internet to learn how to bead, make bows, and numerous other crafts.  It really is an illness.  I mean, REALLY... but I like it, it makes my itchy fingers happy too!

Back to this month... since it is finally fall, (it took it's jolly time getting here, she noted bitterly), I have been inspired to make some Halloween themed bows for the hair of my cutest model.

Recently a friend of mine has been secretly trying to get me to sell my bows... because she likes them, and I can make them, and she's an entrepreneur like that!   So, I go to my Tuesday morning women's Bible study and she brings up my bows... and WHAM, I sell like 5 right there!

A couple nights later I am sitting next to another crafty soul who also dabbles in bow making, and she shares that a certain fancy store is looking for a bow maker... hmmmm.

Here is an example of what I am calling my "Spirit Bow" - this is one I made for a friend's daughter's soccer team, but I have since made one with Halloween colors, and a couple more with local school colors... festive!

Super simple orange headband with a simple black bow on top... simple, but I think CUTE!

Here, a slightly fancier Halloween themed bow... she is such A GOOD little model.  The best part is that I like to make them... and if I am smart, maybe I COULD make a little extra cash making them... if only my dd would keep modeling them. ;o)

  1. CUTE!!! I have several "projects" going on right now too - YIKES!
