The town I live in has a glorious number of trees. Oaks, Ash, and a smattering of other varieties (not to mention thousands of orchards with peaches, citrus, apricots, nuts and more). The town is located in the Central Valley of California, which means moderate temperatures (other than Summer, which is HOT).
Moderate temperatures mean unimpressive seasonal changes (at least visually. Allergy-wise, it's very impressive.) We maintain highs into the 80s through most of October and at least part of November, which means the trees don't quite know what to do. Mostly they turn yellow and brown and drop their leaves all at once...
BUT, If you catch the right street on the right week, with the right trees, you might see something that looks like this:
