An Award! An Award! {and so it begins...}

The fact of the matter is that awards and followers are to me like Catnip is to a cat.
I greatly appreciate the award and the blogger who gave it!
{Sweet Marci over at Life with Joys}

I will play along because that is the kind of girl blogger I am.  I LOVE getting bloggy awards and having people click the little buttons on my right side bar {-------> just over there}that affirms my chicken scratching over here.

But I must explain: I am blogging *this time* out of Obedience to God, He told me to get writing... and here I am.  I will appreciate every affirmation I get along the way... but I am trying to please GOD!! (there...)

Now that my internal dialogue is over... here is the story with this super cute and fun award...

Facts of the Liebster Award:The Liebster Award's origins are pretty much a mystery. Bloggers nominate other bloggers that have 200 or less followers. It's basically a "Hey, that's a sweet little blog you've got there. Here's an award!" You can't just accept the award. You have to play by the (ever changing) rules and pay it forward. Then you can put the award on your blog for all to see.

The Rules:

1. List 11 facts about yourself.
2. Answer the 11 questions given to you. (My 11 questions for each of the 11 nominated blogs are near the bottom of this post!)
3. Create 11 new questions for the bloggers you nominate for the award.
4. Choose 11 bloggers with 200 or less followers to nominate. (At the very bottom of this post you will find the links!)
5. Go to each bloggers page and let them know about the award.
6. Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog. (see the intro of this post!)

11 Facts about MYSELF

1. I read so much I call myself a "binge reader".  Over the summer this year I read a whopping 57 books.  (And yes, I showered and took care of my two children, cooked and even occasionally cleaned - though I should have invited Marci over to do my laundry)
2. I have written over 400 posts, though only 200 exist today.  Don't ask what I did with those other posts... you don't want to know.
3. I am a cat person.  I like dogs too... but I love cats.  I understand them.
4. I am a recovering slob {occasionally my husband would say "recovering?" in a slightly sarcastic way}
5. I am not a kid person.  I love my children, and don't mind hanging out with kids, but I prefer teenagers and adults if I have a choice.
6. I volunteer to teach music a few times a month at my kid's school.  If you were paying attention to #5, let me explain that it comes from a love for my kids and a desire to give them music education that I spend an hour a week teaching music to 32 2nd graders and 32 4th graders (shudder).
7. I am becoming more and more convinced that I have ADD.  It explains why my whole life has to be scheduled out for me to get anything accomplished.
8. I really enjoy spending time with junior high and senior high youth.  They are so much fun!
9. I've been in youth ministry for 17 years.
10. I can touch my nose with my tongue.
11. I get really really creative at about 11pm.  If I am not careful, I will stay up until 1am every night... I have to force myself to go to bed.
