Don't Worry {Matthew 6:30-31}

Today's Verses: And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear? Matthew 6:30-31 (NLT)

Wildflowers bloom in places (like the cracks in pavement), where there is not ideal conditions.  They push through the cracks in a driveway, grow on the sides of freeways, thrive in sand, clay, or rocky soil.  What a perfect illustration!

A wildflower isn't carefully tended, can be considered to be a weed, and seems to flourish where other flowers fade.  They are also quite frequently food for birds and produce a bountiful seed crop.

God cares for these little flowers, and yet we waste even one second of thought on worrying about things we may or may not have any control over.

Did you hear the little challenge in those verses?  "Why do you have so little faith?".  I believe that God loves me, and therefore I shouldn't worry, because I should believe that He is going to take care of me.  This goes back to yesterday's post, where we rush ahead of God because we don't believe He is going to take care of it in the way WE want Him to.

Today I will strive to be like a wildflower.  I will be resilient.  I won't stress and wilt.
I will just be beautiful and know that He is taking care of me.
