Hungry for the Word? {Psalm 1:2-3}

Today's Verse: Instead you thrill to God’s Word, you chew on Scripture day and night. You’re a tree replanted in Eden, bearing fresh fruit every month, Never dropping a leaf,  always in blossom. Psalm 1:2-3 (MSG)

YAY! More trees!

I am not sure if you've noticed a theme with this third part... so many scriptures about the WORD of God.

My belief is that if we want to be able to give other people hope, grace, or answers, we need to be immersed in the scriptures.

The times where I have let my temper run away with me, or I have made mistakes in words I have said or in relationships, those are times where I am letting my pride and MY "wisdom" get in the way of God's grace and His Word in my life.

I am a mess.  You probably are too.  That's part of being alive and human.

Do you "thrill to God's Word?"  Would you say you "chew on Scripture", which is like a cow chewing it's cud, "day and night?"

I'm not sure I can.  This last month I've been a little more immersed in the Word than before, but I am still not mulling over a scripture I read day and night.  I read it, I consider it for a few minutes and then I move on.  It doesn't stay in my mouth.

If we had the scriptures as a part of our daily life, this verse says we are a "tree replanted in Eden" -  we are in a Paradise.  We are alive and producing fruit, we are vibrant and flowering.  We are BEAUTIFUL.
