Verse of the day: You have searched me, Lord,  and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue  you, Lord, know it completely. Psalm 139:1-4 (NIV)

My favorite passage in the whole Bible, is this one right here.  I love that it is so rich it can produce multiple different lessons from the same chapter in the Word.

The lesson today is that I am KNOWN.

My Lord knows me.  He knows me better than I know myself.  He knows me better than anyone else in creation.

He knows what time I went to bed last night.  He knows how many hairs I have on my head.

He knows my deepest fears and my darkest thoughts.

He knows the things that make my heart soar, and the things that make me belly laugh.

Sometimes this fact makes me feel uneasy.  {How can He love me, knowing what He does?}

Sometimes this fact makes me feel secure. {He knows everything and still loves me tenderly.}

But everyday, I am aware that someone knows me, really KNOWS me,
and I never feel alone.

How about you?
The creator of the Universe KNOWS you.
and He Loves you still.
What do YOU think about that?

  1. AJ,

    I am known... that is a beautiful thing, isn't it? Hmmm...

    Re your comment on my post "Tacos, Rescues, and Lovers," bricks made by hand by the founding fathers... wow, if that isn't an analogy?! :)

    Thanks for stopping by, AJ.

    Nice to meet you,
    Jennifer Dougan

  2. Hi! Thank you for stopping by my blog. I love your 31 days. You took the words right out of my mouth on how it feels to be known by such a loving God. Most days I feel like He is the ONLY one that gets me completely even though hubby tries so hard bless his sweet self.

    "But everyday, I am aware that someone knows me, really KNOWS me,
    and I never feel alone."-Beautiful...thank you!
