Musing, Miscellany, Mingle and Food #2

I am joining the Linky Revolution.  I am also looking for a couple of other bloggers who are willing/interested in co-hosting the Monday Musings Blog Hop... let me know in a comment! ;)

Linking up with Menu Plan Monday and Miscellany Monday and Monday Mingle over at Tough Cookie Mommy and my new meme: Monday Musings

 Last week I saw so many Pinteresting things on Pinterest.
Here are my favorites:

Christmas is creeping out at my house. I have nearly half of my decorations up!!  I had friends over for a crafting night and a good time was had by all. Not sure if you saw last Friday's post about my Advent calendar, there are some free printables. You know you want them!

 In other news I learned something new about my kids, not only are my kids plants but... my daughter is a little OCD.  She got in trouble for dusting her room during quiet time instead of playing.  She cried that the dust was bothering her. {shaking my head} Poor little dear.  My son apparently is a binge reader like me.  I cleaned out his backpack and found 4 books... from 3 different series.  Wimpy Kid, Percy Jackson, and Harry Potter.  He literally has read 12 different books in the last 2 months.  No wonder he isn't getting good grades.  (Sneaking books - what kind of 9 year old is that?!)

  This last week it was storming where I live.  I figured it was raining because we were planning on putting up the Christmas Lights on the outside of our house.  Nature has it in for us.  {When did/do you put up your lights? Does your hubby do it? Have you ever hired someone to do it for you?}

 Last week in ministry: All three groups made Christmas Cards, and we talked about Gratitude and Contentment.  The girls are so creative... I loved the finished products! This week we are making ornaments.  I can't wait to see what they make!

 My husband was out of town for a conference which means {of course} bad things happen.  (One year a part of our roof blew off and our refrigerator broke, last year I almost broke my foot tripping over the cat). This year, nothing really exciting happened... but for a giant storm that was so big they kept talking about the storm in boxing metaphors (round 1 and round 2).  So far nobody has been knocked out. {except for my kids - just kidding - though they did get in a doozy of a fight at 6:45 am one morning last week.  Who wakes up and is angry enough to scream at another person, let alone pick up their hand and use it to punch them in the face??? Can't make this stuff up folks.}

This week's menu:
Chicken and Jambalaya
Chicken Parmesean with Spaghetti
Chicken Potpie
Pork Roast with Couscous
Pork Enchilada Casserole
Potato Soup

I'm growing! I'm growing!{I mean, my readership is growing}Thank you for reading, and for those who are commenting, I really appreciate it!  It makes me feel better about wasting my time spending my time doing this! It's a sunny and warm day in Las Vegas. I've been living on the West coast for 18 years. It's funny when friends, from Maine, will mention that they're shoveling snow I caught off guard. That's right, you're dealing with snow!
    Hope you have a wonderful and delicious week! Congrats on your growing readership.

  4. What a fun post! Thanks for stopping by and commenting at Frugal & Focused. Be sure to stop back by later this week for the recipe swap. I look forward to seeing you there.
