Thankful for What He has Done {Psalm 30:11-12}

Verse: You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent.  O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever!  Psalm 30:11-12

Main Idea: God has done so much for us and will do so much more for us as we grow and change.  We should give thanks for all He has done!  God does so much more than take our sadness and give us joy, He takes care of us every day and showers us with love and grace.  How can we stay silent when we remember all that He has done for us {and for our family, and for our friends!}

2} Can you think of something that God has done for you that you can Thank him for?
3}What do you think would be a modern example of "clothes of mourning"? {Wearing black}
4} What would it look like to be clothed with joy?
5} Sometimes we don't remember to tell God why we appreciate all He has done, what are ways you can make Thankfulness toward God an every-day habit?
6}While God is the source of all of our blessings, He often uses people to be "his hands", how can we show appreciation to those people around us who make our lives better every day {in both the big and small ways?}

  1. I think "clothes of mourning" can also refer to our countenance. He can change a sad and mournful countenance to that of someone filled with true joy. Just my thoughts... :)
